DAY 01 : Arrive Paro
Arrive at Paro airfield, our office representative will greet and drive to the pre- booked. In the evening take a stroll around town's main street. Overnight at the hotel in Paro.
DAY 02 : Paro Sightseeing
Hike (1.5 hrs) to the spectacular view of the Taktshang Monastery (Tiger's Nest), perched on a rocky edge over a 900 m. Experience unforgettable views of Mt. Jhomolhari. For the local people it is a place of pilgrimage, but for a tourist, a hike up to the viewpoint opposite the monastery can be exhausting, thrilling and mystical. The legend has it that Guru Rimpoche is had flown to the site of a monastery on the back of a tigress from Tibet and meditated in the cave there for three months. Visit the historic ruins of the Drukgyal Dzong, built in 1647. In the way of returning you will visit Monastery Kichu Lhakhang and built in the 7th century by the first King of Tibet, Songtsen Gampo to spread the Buddhist Dharma throughout Bhutan. DAY 03 : Paro - Thimphu (60 km, 2 hours)
After breakfast you will drive to Thimpu which will take 2hrs, capital city without having any traffic Lights. On the way to Thimpu scenic view, mesmerizing mountains, Buddhist monasteries will welcomed. En-route stop at Chuzom (confluence) where the Paro river joins Thimphu river. Nearby Thimphu, visit Simtokha Dzong, the oldest fortress of the Kingdom which now houses the School for Buddhist studies. Then, visit Handicrafts Emporium, Textile and Folk Heritage Museum followed by visit local market. Overnight at Thimphu.
DAY 04 : Thimphu - Punakha (75 km, 2.1/2 hours)
After visiting National Library, Painting School and Traditional Medicine Institute in the morning and you will drive to Punakha. Punakha was the winter capital for over 300 years until the time of the second King. Punakha Dzong that dominates the whole area was built in 1637 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyel, and established the central monastic body with 600 monks. Overnight at Punakha.
DAY 05 : Punakha - Wangduephodrang - Gangtey (70 km, 3 hours)
After breakfast drive to Gangtey via Wangduephodrang. Visit majestic Wangdue Dzong and interesting local market. Further ahead pass through dense forests and oak, rhododendron trees, reaching at Gangtey (Phobjikha). In the evening take a walk around Gangtey village and visit Gangtey Gompa, the only Nyingmapa monastery in this region. Overnight at Camp / Guest House.
DAY 06 : Gangtey - Trongsa (120 km, 4.1/2 hours)
Morning explore Phobjikha valley which is famous for Black Necked Cranes. The cranes migrate here from Central Asiatic plateau to escape its harsh winters. After lunch drive to Trongsa crossing 3,300 m high Pele la pass. Evening visit Trongsa market. Overnight at the lodge.
